Oppression that passes from generation to generation

Prof. Dr. Melek Göregenli, who has been expelled from Ege University under a decree with the force of law, addressing a ‘Freedom of Expression’ symposium held in the memory of Uğur Mumcu, Hrant Dink and Metin Göktepe, said, ‘One of my teachers who was expelled from university in the 1980’s came to a rally in my support. This is oppression that passes from generation to generation.’
