A State of Emergency Procedures Examination Commission was established the evening before last under Decree with the Force of Law number 685. The commission will assess the objections of 95,000 public servants who have been dismissed and bodies that have been closed under decrees with the force of law. Aggrieved parties who do not apply to the commission to consist of seven people will be denied judicial recourse.
LAWSUITS ARE VOID
Lawsuits that have been filed until now will become void with the establishment of the commission. Assistant Professor Dr Kerem Altıparmak of Ankara University’s Faculty of Political Sciences has commented, ‘The establishing of the commission came as no surprise. This is how they aim to block the way to the European Court of Human Rights. If the ECHR accepts this, no rulings will come from Strasbourg for ten years.’
