NAMED ‘STAY BROTHERS, TURKEY’
Orhan Uzuner, father-in-law of the President’s son Bilal Erdoğan, has set up a broad communications network for ‘the people to pour onto the streets as quickly as possible if there is a fresh coup attempt or insurrections.’ The group, that has been named ‘Stay brothers, Turkey,’ consists of WhatsApp groups under Uzuner’s supervision for instant communications. They are also organising on ‘Zello,’ which operates like a ‘wireless communications system.
‘ARMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR OUR USE’
Uzuner, noting at the group’s first meeting held in January that they had obtained the necessary equipment, commented, ‘Our smallest appliance is a whistle. There is a megaphone in my car. Arms are available for our use when necessary. We must make preparations of this kind.’ Uzuner said, ‘We have closed ranks around our leader President Erdoğan.’
DRONE TRAINING EVEN GIVEN
‘Stay brothers, Turkey’ members are trained in four areas. Ministry of Health certified first aid and Civil Aviation General Directorate certified drone use courses are arranged. For the planned wireless network, training is provided that complies with the wireless licence exam. With an internet radio station also being set up, efforts are underway to secure a radio licence.
