Arsonist remanded this time round

Mehmet Ali Aligül, who burnt down the Müjdat Gezen Arts Centre in Kadıköy and was released by the court, was yesterday remanded in custody by the senior court before which he was brought on objection by the public prosecution. Cited as grounds for remanding Aligül, who confessed that he committed the crime for political reasons, was damaging property.
