Contemporary Jurists Association Chair Selçuk Kozağaçlı arrested

Contemporary Jurists Association Chair Selçuk Kozağaçlı, attorney of the hunger striking academics Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça, has been arrested. Kozağaçlı posted news of his arrest on the Contemporary Jurists Association Ankara’s Twitter account. It has been learnt that Kozağaçlı was taken to Istanbul Police Directorate.
 
Semih Özakça: Let the god of the law Mithra not turn over in his grave

Hunger striking teacher Semih Özakça, who was released recently, reacted to the arrest of his attorney. He posted on his Twitter account, “Prior to our hearing, 16 of our lawyers were detained. Before the Suruç trial, Suruç’s lawyers were detained. Soma’s lawyers were arrested. Let the god of the law Mithra not turn over in his grave.”
