A string of reactions is coming from the government following the transfer of CHP MPs to the Good Party. Deputy Prime-Minister Bekir Bozdağ evaluated the transfer of CHP MPs to the Good Party. Bozdağ said, “Fifteen CHP MPs transferring to the Good Party. This is the newest and latest example of political immorality; this is blatant political engineering.”

Bozdağ commented, “Through this dirty and immoral deed, CHP management has made the CHP, the Republic’s founding party, into a spare tyre for another party.”

Deputy Prime Minister Çavuşoğlu's “15 MPs” comment

On a visit to Bursa's Büyükorhan sub-provincial municipality, Çavuşoğlu commented on fifteen CHP MPs transferring to the Good Party.

Commenting, “As you know, in the wake of the decision for the 24 June elections, following the comings and goings of the General Chair of the main opposition party Kılıçdaroğlu as to whether he will stand, it is apparent he has no hope of the winning the ninth election that he will embark on against Tayyip Erdoğan. He will face another defeat,” Çavuşoğlu continued as follows:

“We see him involved in all kinds of design efforts so that this defeat does not befall him. We have recently once more seen in the form of the quasi-marriage action taken today the extent to which those setting on the road speaking of an “Alliance of Principles” have formed an alliance of unprincipledness and hopelessness. It bears stating that we see this election will take place between those who are cherished by our people and those who engage in political engineering through our people. This election will be an election between those who on 15 July shielded their naked bodies from tanks for the motherland, for honour and for sacredness and those who were awaiting and observing what was going to happen from the holes they had hidden in on 15 July.”

The CHP and the Good Party have realised their B plan and fifteen MPs have resigned from the CHP and transferred to the Good Party. CHP Group Deputy Chair Altay announced the names of the fifteen who were transferring to the Good Party.

AKP’s Elitaş: They are for-hire MPs

A reaction to the transfer of fifteen MPs from the CHP to the Good Party also came from AKP Group Deputy Chair and Kayseri MP Mustafa Elitaş. Mustafa Elitaş, who learnt of the transfer of fifteen MPs to the Good Party in his constituency of Ankara and then went to the capital Ankara, commented in the statement he made, “Without the Supreme Election Council having made an announcement, CHP General Chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has appended his signature to a rental deal, unethical in political terms, to rescue the Good Party and its General Chair Meral Akşener and has veritably hired out these fifteen MPs. The name of this is for-hire MPs. The Güneş Motel incident of the past has been repeated in a most ugly fashion. There remains nothing becoming about it.”
