With no end to the ‘cancellation’ decisions from Germany, Erdoğan’s Nazi comparison has provoked a strong reaction. Chancellor Merkel said, ‘These comments detract from the Nazi crimes,’ while government spokesman Steffen Seibert described the statements as, ‘Absurd and inappropriate.’
