The German and French leaders have made a joint statement in which they say that President Erdoğan’s ‘Nazi comparisons aimed at Germany and EU members and his other accusations are unacceptable.
The government’s reaction to the Netherlands, conversely, continues. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has said, ‘There is no difference between the social democrats and fascist Wilders. You are taking Europe to the brink. It will not be long before religious wars start in Europe.’
