Village and quarter heads only free at the Palace

CHP Party Assembly Member Hakkı Süha Okay held a breakfast meeting with village and quarter heads in Nevşehir’s Gülşehir Sub-Province on 21 March. The sub-provincial public prosecution has launched an investigation into 50 of the 83 heads who attended the meeting at which the constitutional amendment referendum was discussed, accusing them of ‘holding an unpermitted meeting.’

The CHP’s Okay, reacting to the investigation and pointing out that Erdoğan discusses the referendum with heads every week, said, ‘The intimidation that the ruling party is applying before the referendum has taken place is the clearest indication of what it will be capable of doing if “Yes” prevails.’
