Threat from Interior Minister Soylu for 111 intellectuals who signed in support Gülmen and Özakça

On his Twitter account, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has threatened the 111 intellectuals who have signed in support of detained academic Nuriye Gülmen and teacher Semih Özakça, who were dismissed from their jobs under decrees with the force of law and have been on hunger strike for 111 days.

Soylu posted on his social media account: ‘Those who today in certain newspapers comply in full with the DHKP-C terrorist organisation’s instructions and twist the truth to make an announcement for members of this organisation, you do not trust the information, intelligence and findings of the police, whose assistance you request if the slightest thing happens to you, and you do not trust prosecutors and judges. But, your trust for members of the terrorist organisation is endless! All of you who set out to render the state inactive and ineffective, and make it appear guilty, against the terrorist organisation ... are you aware of what you are signing? Well, and those who publish this announcement to encourage terrorist organisations?’ Soylu’s threatening post has prompted great outrage from social media users.
