ACADEMIA IS UNDERGOING ITS BIGGEST PURGE

In total, the purges of academics from universities at times of military coup amount to less than five percent of the purges conducted since 15 July. With the number of academics purged since 15 July moving close to five thousand, the number of teaching staff members purged in all coup periods amounts to 250.
