Anatolia’s tough kids

Turkey’s leading metal group Pentagram is celebrating its 30th year with the album Akustik. The members of Pentagram said, ‘There is no room for malice and hatred in the faith rooted in the Alevi-Bektashi tradition. In our music, this is an area we draw on in creating content.’

The group members, commenting that they follow developments in Turkey with concern but there is a need to be hopeful, are readying themselves to appear before their fans at a series of concerts in the coming days at which they will deliver an acoustic rendering of their songs.
