Justice march comment from Bozdağ: They are exerting themselves in vain
Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ has spoken of a lack of sincerity with reference to the Justice March that CHP General Chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has launched. Bozdağ has commented that it is impossible for them to get the decisions they want from the judiciary and they are exerting themselves in vain.
Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ exchanged Eid greetings at his party’s provincial organisation in Yozgat, where he had come on his Eid programme. Bozdağ replied to journalists’ questions following the ceremony. According to a report by Gazete Duvar, the Justice March is on Bozdağ’s mind.
Stating that the Justice March that Kılıçdaroğlu has launched and is on its eleventh day is being staged for just one person, he commented, ‘Those who think that they will affect the judiciary’s decisions with marches, threats or insults or those who use such methods and hope to obtain the decision they wish for from the judiciary are exerting themselves in vain. There are currently a good many detainees and convicts in Turkey’s prisons. This is a march that is being staged for just one person. You look and their calculations and thinking are different. If you inquire what this is, for one thing there is a calculation over eliminating internal debates within the CHP. This march also has significance in terms of support for perception management projects against Turkey abroad by FETO and other anti-Turkey circles. It also makes a contribution to that.’
Minister Bozdağ, alleging that another of Kılıçdaroğlu’s calculations was to pressurise judges and prosecutors, ‘Through pressurising judges and prosecutors serving in the judiciary, to bring about special results in both FETO trials and coup trials as well as special trials that Kılıçdaroğlu is following with an expected result. I wish to state once more here that those who think they can affect the judiciary’s decisions with marches, threats or insults or those who use such methods and hope to obtain the decision they wish for from the judiciary are exerting themselves in vain. They are harming themselves to no end.’
KILIÇDAROĞLU HAS FORGOTTEN 15 JULY
Minister Bozdağ, stating that Kılıçdaroğlu has for a long time not called 15 July a coup, commented, ‘Of course, what Kılıçdaroğlu has said about the Adil Öksüz incident and the aftermath of the coup is very significant. On 15 July, we stood with them against the coup in parliament and were under the bombs together. After the 15 July coup attempt failed, he has forgotten the coup attempt. For a long time, he has not even called 15 July a coup.’
