American writer Paul Austere and his wife Siri Hustvedt have penned an article entitled ‘We are afraid for Turkey’ in Norway’s Dagbladet newspaper. The couple have stated, ‘We are extremely uncomfortable and scared at the prospect of the dictatorial society that Erdoğan wishes to create with his dangerous constitutional amendments.’
