Controversy has been created after the Court of Cassation Republic Chief Prosecution stripped the HDP’s Figen Yüksekdağ of her party membership on the grounds of her conviction for the offence of making terrorist organisation propaganda. The Court of Cassation has no such power under the Political Parties Law.
