Generals’ town!

According to the overarching indictment drafted into 15 July, prior to the coup attempt there were five generals in the Turkish Armed Forces, all related to one another, in the civil registry records in Kayseri’s Yeşilhisar sub-province, with a population of 5,000.

The indictment points to this situation as indicative of the dimensions of the formation within the Turkish Armed Forces, and also mentions that Chief of the General Staff Hulusi Akar’s detained aide de camp had a meeting with Environment Minister Mehmet Özhaseki on 14 July.
