According to the 2016 Rights Violations Monitoring Report of the Protestant Churches Association, hate crimes against Christians have increased and terrorist threats against churches continue.
It is stated in the report that baptism certificates are being demanded of students who wish to be exempted from religious instruction and those whose religion is not entered on their IDs and Christian refugees are being forced to attend religious education.
