Kılıçdaroğlu: Dictators say, “I am the state”

Budget discussions in the General Assembly of Parliament started with debate over Ataşehir Municipality, the Isle of Man documents and Reza Zarrab. CHP General Chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu described the government’s 2018 budget as the “Manxians’ and usurers’ budget.” A harsh exchange of words took place between Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu, whom Kılıçdaroğlu hinted was a turncoat, and the CHP contingent. AKP Deputy Group Chair Mustafa Elitaş, who said, “Bring the documents,” tore up the documents that CHP Deputy Group Chair Engin Altay gave him at the rostrum.
 
Harsh exchanges marked the start of budget discussions in the General Assembly of Parliament. CHP General Chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu expressed the following views on the budget:
 
Fair auditing: The state and the government are separate. The state is permanent. The government comes and administers the state. There are elections, and if it wins, it forms the administration again. If a person comes out and says, “I am the state,” the name of this in politics is dictatorship. So, we must distinguish between the state and the government. If a person says, “I am the state,” they are a dictator. The state must be administered with justice. Have we come out in opposition because a municipality was audited? We object because there has not been fair treatment. The bodies envisaged by the law conduct audits at every municipality. Why did we object? We said that you were not acting justly. We said you send audit staff to our municipalities on a 24-hour basis, and you do not send any to the others.

The Council of State says, “There is no call for an investigation.” Complaints and tip-offs come in over Erguvan Barış Park. Istanbul Serious Crime Court No 2 says there is nothing. You suspend him in relation to this. This is what we are objecting to. I will clamp down on that mayor if they eat one morsel of the forbidden fruit.
 
Submit an investigation motion: My daughter bought a flat. I say to the CHP members of parliament. Submit an investigation motion into me, my family, my children, my grandchild, my brother-in-law or even my children’s parents-in-law. Let there be an investigation. I have no hesitation whatsoever. If you find five kurush, I will apologise. I call out to the gentlemen in Ankara. Can you show the courage I have? Let God place no one at the beck and call of a tyrant. Zarrab bought ministers: The fraudster named Zarrab set the bribes rolling. I was the one who objected the most to Zarrab at that time. Whatever I said, they dashed to the courts and filed suits. The charlatan briber bought three ministers of the day and one public bank CEO with money. The parliamentary commission closed this case. The trial being held in the USA makes me uncomfortable. The dirt from an incident perpetrated in Turkey should not be cleaned in the USA. I call out to Mr Binali Yıldırım: come, let us reopen this case.
 
Who gave the secrets: Who gave the state’s secrets to this charlatan? “The prosecutor is investigating.” They will not swallow that. The intelligence agency must swing into action. They opened the cosmic room to a terrorist organisation, you know. They took everything to America. Has anyone been held to account?
 
Who stole the gold?: (the gold coming from Ghana) It says in the inspector’s report, “This gold arrived in the form of 1.5 tonnes but we established in the statement given to us that when it left Turkey, 292 kilogrammes of gold were brought into Turkey without being subjected to any customs procedure.” Now, Mr Yıldırım, you are the prime-minister. If gold comes to this country through illicit means and 292 kilo of it is stolen and is brought in by underhanded means, start this investigation from here. Who stole the 292 kilos of gold?
 
Because of the Manxians: It says in the law that if there is a company in a tax haven and its money comes to Turkey, we’ll tax it at 30%, but the list of tax havens will be stipulated by the Cabinet. No stipulation has been made for eleven years. No stipulation is made because of the Manxians. A tiny little child will pay tax, but those Manxians will engage in all manner of tricks to evade tax. This budget is the Manxians’, usurers’ and moneylenders’ budget. They say, “I’m local and I’m national.” What’s local, what’s national about you, brother? You are neither local nor national. We will not let whoever sets up a company on the Isle of Man or such islands into Turkey. We’ll say, “Go there.”

Zarrab’s cases were closed and he was brought onto the pool media and then the flag that is this nation’s honour was used as a background on A Haber. I said I knew what I would pin on their necks. They leapt up at once, saying, “Are you going to hang us?” I am not going to hang you. I am going to disgrace you. They put the flag behind the charlatan called Raza Zarrab and brought him on the station. They posted a tweet saying the medal of honour should be pinned on Reza Zarrab. I ask A Haber.
