Police raid CJA lawyers’ homes and offices in Izmir: 6 arrests

A morning raid was staged by the police on the homes and offices of lawyers who are members of the Izmir Branch of the Contemporary Jurists Association (CJA) that was closed under Decree with the Force of Law number 677. With six lawyers having been arrested in the raid, two lawyers are said to be wanted.

CJA Izmir Branch has announced the names of the arrested lawyers. The following appeared in the statement made by CJA Izmir:
 
“A raid was staged this morning in Izmir on our lawyer colleagues’ homes and offices. We say once more that we are the lawyers of Nuriye and Semih and all the poor. We are here!
 
Nergiz Tuba Aslan, Şule Arslan Hızal, Yemen Cankan, Emel Diril, Dinçer Çalım and Bahattin Özdemir; those wanted are Erdoğan Akdoğdu and Alihan Pilaf”
