According to Al-Masdar Al-'Arabi, which is close to the Syrian regime, the Syrian army launched an attack yesterday in Latakia governate on forces of the Jabhat Fatah al-Sham, previously known as the Nusra Front.

According to the claim, which Al-Masdar attributes to “a military source”, the Turkish army opened fire on the Syrian army close to the town of Nawara.
It is stated that there was no loss of life in the Syrian army, but regime forces were forced to retreat from the area under heavy shelling.

It is stated that, prior to this shelling, the Turkish army had also staged an air raid on PYD forces north of Aleppo.

The Turkish Armed Forces have stated that Syrian regime forces struck a Turkish unit in an air attack at around 03.30 hours Turkish time today and three soldiers were killed.
