Survivors describe crash

With one citizen who had been in one of the overturned coaches commenting, “Everything happened in five or six seconds and everyone began screaming. The train fell on the left-hand side and the windows broke. Those who fell down out of the windows perished,” another accident victim, noting that the rain stopped before the accident, said, “It was raining in the area. When we came the rain had stopped. It happened all of a sudden and nobody had any idea what was happening. We were in the first coach and God aided us. I saw that the other coaches overturned.”

 With treatment of the injured continuing at Çorlu State Hospital, a crowd of citizens arriving to visit their relatives formed a crowd in front of the hospital.
