Central Bank’s reserves declining

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT)’s total reserves fell in the week of 27 August from 92.692 billion dollars to 88.849 billion dollars.

 Gold reserves declined from the 19.768 billion dollars recorded in the previous week to 18.435 billion dollars.

 Gross foreign currency reserves, in turn, dropped from 72.924 billion dollars to 70.414 billion dollars.

 According to the data, since the beginning of the year, the CBRT’s gold reserves have fallen by 5.1 billion dollars, as have total reserves by 18.8 billion dollars.
