Dismal turnout for Prime Minister’s rally in AKP stronghold

There was a dismal turnout at a rally held by Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım in Giresun, which supported the AKP by 61.8% at the last elections.

Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım addressed a rally held in Giresun’s Atatürk Square. Large empty spaces were visible in Atatürk Square where Yıldırım made his speech and the rally area was palpably not filled.

Chief Advisor to CHP General Chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Deniz Demir, posted footage on his Twitter account showing the unfilled rally area in Giresun accompanied by the note, “This is Giresun where the AKP took 61.8% of the vote at the last elections. Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım is speaking on the stage. How are things in the square?”
