Good news from Ayşe teacher
Ayşe teacher, who was sentenced to prison for saying, “Let children not die” when phoning into the Beyaz Show, has been released.
Teacher Ayşe Çelik, who was subjected to investigation for having said “Let children not die” when she phoned into the Beyaz Show and who was sentenced to one year and three months’ imprisonment on the count of “making terrorist organisation propaganda,” has been released. Çelik was imprisoned on 20 April.
With Çelik’s second application for suspension of execution having been dismissed, her lawyer Mahsuni Karaman applied to the Diyarbakır Execution Judgeship for his client’s sentence to be served on probation. Examining the application, Diyarbakır Execution Judgeship ruled that teacher Ayşe Çelik serve her sentence on probation. Following the decision, Ayşe Çelik was released this evening from Diyarbakır E Type Prison where she was being held.
Çelik's lawyer gave news of the release on his Twitter Account. Lawyer Mahsuni Karaman's Tweet read as follows:
