‘Our dreams cannot burn’

The CHP’s Zeynep Altıok Akatlı, who has written a letter to the Minister of Culture Avcı regarding the burning down of the Müjdat Gezen Arts Centre, asked, ‘What more are you waiting for?’ Kani Beko, Chair of the Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions, reacted by saying, ‘Our dreams cannot burn or catch fire.’
With citizens flooding to the Müjdat Gezen Arts Centre until late in the evening, a group of Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe supporters also made a support visit. Müjdat Gezen said, ‘At the moment, I have one eye on Beşiktaş supporters and my other eye on Fenerbahçe supporters. You have honoured us.’
