Journalists back on duty at the courthouse
At the trial at which 21 journalists, columnists and actors who served as ‘duty publishing managers’ in solidarity with Özgür Gündem are being prosecuted, custodial sentences of between seven and a half and ten and a half years are sought for twelve people.
With the prosecutor in his written opinion seeking custodial sentences for the journalists, columnists and actors’ offences of printing and promulgating the organisation’s propaganda and the organisation’s publications, the hearing was adjourned until 7 and 9 March.
