Kurdish vote warning from close Erdoğan confidant

The AKP’s planned electoral alliance with the MHP has given rise to debate over the Kurdish vote. Indications are coming in that Kurdish AKP voters will desert the AKP due to the alliance with the MHP.
 
Bayram Zilan, a figure close to the AKP, has given warning of a Kurdish vote crisis in the AKP.
 
Bayram Zilan commented, “The propaganda is being made in the East/South-East that, ‘The AKP has cooperated with the MHP. The Kurds are no longer on the AKP’s agenda.’ There are very wide-ranging perception management efforts about this in all provinces. The AK Party must immediately take strategic initiatives to stem this misperception.”
